The course consists of 5 mornings of 4 hours of one-to-one tuition. It takes place on Monday to Friday
in a family home between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye near the English-Welsh border.
In a week, you will expand your vocabulary and develop confidence in
using correct grammar to talk about everyday life and interests. Tuition can be recorded so that voice files may
be used as revision during the course or afterwards for self-study.
Morning study starts at 9.00am and finishes around 1.00pm.
Each day focuses on a particular skill with emphasis on correcting grammar and developing vocabulary using 'natural'
speech and realistic situations. For reading, authentic texts, such as local and national newspapers, novels, magazines
are used as well as anything you want to bring with you!
In addition to structured tuition, there are plenty of
opportunities to 'walk and talk' and perhaps even, 'paddle a canoe'! In addition, there are cultural
visits to historic houses, castles and the nearby market towns, so that learning is not only achieved in a classroom setting,
but also whilst exploring the country around the English/Welsh border and meeting people who live in the area.
